Bug it out Collage!!

Collage performs and they do exactly what they have to do… they bug it out!!  74.0.   6th Place.  FINALS!   We made our goal!!   Sunday comes and Collage goes straight back out there and they do exactly what they have to do again!!!  They have an even better run!!!   76.5.  5th Place!!   Even Better.  Now Collage sits in 13th Place overall.  Nice!  That is a sure in for Semis.  Things are really looking up..  we have a month to keep on working and make effective changes to help our chances of finals.  Very exciting stuff! 

I also know that this is the time of the year that people start getting tired and worn out.  I know I don’t always come across kindly all the time, but I do mean well.  Collage staff and I work hard to figure schedules out and what we need to do all the time to get ahead.  A little credit would be nice.  Maybe a little respect.  We work with Collage all weekend every weekend for no pay and no credit.  We love our group.  We would do anything for them.  Sometimes I think that’s forgotten.  I get unkind, and pushy, and not as kind as I could be because I want them to succeed.  I know they can.  I am just doing what I was told.  I yell, get upset, and push them because I know what they can achieve and I want this group to get there.  We cannot stop.  So no.. I won’t apologize for my ways.  I know I am doing it for the good of the group.  And Ray would want that.  It’s hard to keep pushing people that are tired and getting frustrated themselves.  But someone has to do it and take the punish for it.  Hopefully, we will get where we wanna go and they may see that it was all worth it.  I hope so.  1 month left.  Let’s get it Collage.  Don’t give up!!  You won’t be sorry. 

Jobs, jobs, jobs.   Still waiting to hear back from my last job interview.  Maybe this will be the one. Just like we tell Collage, gotta keep going.  Hoping for some good news soon.  Until then, I will keep job searching and networking and do whatever I can. 

Oh.. by the way… My puppy Kaylie got an adorable haircut and bath this weekend!!!  Very cute.  Love It!

I was suppose to go to the dentist this morning to get a tooth filled but I canceled the appt yesterday after hearing all the chatter about the weather suppose to be sooooo bad in the morning.  When I got up…no snow.  Now however..Snow snow snow.  So now I am glad I canceled and rescheduled.  I have waiting over a week already..what’s another few days?!?

Everyone be careful on the roads today.  They suck.  Everywhere.. They Suck.  Get home safely!!

Still looking for a new job.  Its getting way past frustrating but I am trying to stay positive.  I dont want to just take anything..  I want it to be a good business move for me.  Just have to keep on looking up leads and keep on searching.  Something will happen. 

Collage is doing very well this season.  We have made and will continue to make a ton of changes to our show but we are slowly but surely making things better.  We do still have high hopes for the ending result of this season so we will not stop anytime soon and give up.  The staff nor the guard will let that happen.  We are having so much fun this season.  It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know this group and being part of a positive environment.  They are so cute with each other… supporting, laughing.. they just know the meaning of a group atmosphere.  I am glad that each and every single one of them is on this guard.  They make me see again how easy it truly is to love this sport and this guard, like Ray did for 20 years. 

Collage will be at the Firestone Show this Saturday performing if anyone would like to see them.  Let me know if you need details!!  Also, of course, check out Firestone High School Guard this year!!  They are working it out!!  Keep it going ladies!

Let’s see… what else to catch up on??     My roommate, Jessica, and I joined to Medina Rec Center yesterday to start working out again.  We had joined before but we let our membership run out and we didnt renew it right away.  We did now!  So its time to work it out and get back toned up!!  Yay!  We both really enjoy going to the rec cause they have a track and different workout equipment so whatever I feel like doing that day I can.  Its a nice atmosphere in there too.  Young and old alike.  No one pays much attention to ya.  Its fun working out.. sometimes I forget that.  But it really is.  At least I think so..lol.

Been thinking lately about going back to school..  maybe for my masters…maybe to just take a class… not sure…  I think sometimes about taking cooking classes…just for fun.  But I dont want to waste money ya know??  Just not sure.  Everything just seems unclear right now.  Maybe time will tell.  I would like to think that some years in the future, after I actually have some money, I would like to open a restaurant.  I like to cook so maybe one day that can happen.

Ok..done catching up on here..time to job search.

Now let’s say that I do happen to get this job…  that actually could mean a lot of change in a short amount of time..   New job and possibly a new apartment??  It would make a lot of sense to move out towards Fairlawn at that point because it would make my drive time  like 6 minutes to work and Jessica’s (roommates) drive time about the same.  Plus then we would be out near Copley which would help during winter guard season and all.  Saving a ton of gas money would be awesome.  We would have to check it out with where we currently live to see if we could get out of our lease without paying extra fees and see what apartments would work well with us out that way.  A ton of stuff to figure out if this does work out.  i am really not trying to get my hopes up too high.  Still have to wait and see…  just hoping it all works out!!  If not, back to square one.

In other news, last regular season game for Wadsworth this friday at Barberton HS.   Geesh, the season went sooo fast.  I have to admit that I really did have a good time working with Steve, Dana, Brent, and Ryan plus of course my 8 guard girls.  They made this season an enjoyable one.  It took me back to when I first started helping a high school color guard with Ray…. I remember how much he absolutely loved teaching them and showing them new things.  He liked working with the staff and being part of the creation of the show.  Most importantly, the kids loved him and loved when he was there.  The change from the beginning of the season to the end was always great.  I am happy that I had the opportunity this year to take on my own color guard and work with Jessica and create a brand new color guard.  Like with the guard I helped Ray with, the change from the beginning of the season to the end is somewhat unbelievable.  I truely enjoyed being there this year and hope for the best next season as well.  Of course this season isn’t quite over yet however.  We still have one more regular season football game on Friday and then playoffs start next week.  With all the high school guards I have helped over the years, I have never gone to a playoff game. So this will be the first for me and I am excited for them.  Wadsworth’s team has only lost one game this season so Good Luck to them!

What is going on for today??  Not much yet today.  I go into work tonight at 5pm.  What a crappy day outside..rainly and chilly so we won’t even be busy..   guess we will just clean our hearts out and leave quickly after we close!!

Anyways, just spending the day catching up on some stuff and hanging out with Kaylie my puppy.  She is just too cute for words.  Love her!!  We have been worried about her lately..  she was an extremely smart dog about a week ago and decided to swallow a chicken thigh bone WHOLE!!  crazy i know.  She only weighs like 8 pounds but down the hatch it went..whole and all.  I know, I know.. everyone is saying..” That is horrible for a dog!!  it will cut her insides!!”  Yup.  I am aware.  However, we called the vet and they said to give her some bread to coat the bone going through her intestines and call back and possibly take her in if she starts getting sick, acting different, etc.  Our tough little puppy is acting fine and going about her daily business as normal.  She is rediculous.  Didn’t even phase her at all.  Unbelievable.  If I can come back in another life I would want to come back exactly like her.  She is a tough as nails.  9 lives cat living as a dog.

Alright well, time to go be more productive.  Fingers crossed about getting a second interview!!

just on facebook alone today.. i read about at least 4 more people thinking they actually have it or they know someone that might.  and…it turns out that my cousin may have it… thank god she is already feeling better though.  so.. when do they know if you have it?  would she already know she has it or doesnt it matter now that she is feeling better?  i guess i dont really know the answer to that.  ummmm….

this whole thing is getting out of hand ya know?  everyone is talking about it.  everyone is nervous about it. and everyone doesnt seem to know whether or not to get the H1N1 shot….  seems to me that lots of people that get the flu shot end up getting the worse kind of sickness they have ever had…  not what i want at all.  so i dont know what to do.  i have never gotten a flu shot before but i am scared to get one..i dont want to get sick..   and then this H1N1 shot…  not sure what to do about that either.  seems like no one is saying for sure if it is a good thing to get or not.  think i will wait a bit longer before deciding on that.

What is on tap for today?  At home, again.., today till later.  Working tonight till close.  I just wish I could get an ounce of good luck every once in a while ya know?  Everyone around me seems to be moving on and forward..  I just seem to be stuck.. I want so badly to move forward but it’s just not working out.  Tons of people I know are having kids, getting married, starting new jobs, moving… ugh…just tired of this waiting game I seem to be playing.  “Good things come to those who wait.”  “You’ll time will come.”  I am very thankful for the people around me that support me but it gets kinda old to hear that kind of stuff.

Don’t get me wrong..  I do love my life.  I like where I live, my family and friends are great, got a awesome puppy, like working with my guards, and I am appreciative that I have a job in this economy.  It’s this job thing.  I am looking for something else that I can be challenged with.  I want to use my degree and keep my career moving forward.  Its hard to keep going when I am getting nowhere with this.  I just want some good luck.

I dont like to complain..soooo…trust me…this is not what is blog is all about.  It’s just a space to write down some thoughts and opinions.  Happy and sad. 

Today is Thursday…guard rehearsal tonight.  Those girls have come such a long way.  Very proud of them.  From the last game that they spun at their flags were a mess…a dirty mess.  I spent some time the other day cleaning them in my tub….that was gross…  they were really dirty and muddy.  But they are now a lot cleaner than they were..  new problem though….very wrinkly!!  (is that a word??)  Hopefully they can help fix that problem tonight.

I dont know…guess that is all i have to say right now..  just stressed… cant concentrate on much else..
